On the road

I am a journalist by education and profession, a reader, a sometime traveler and recent immigrant to the United States.  

In an earlier version of this blog’s introduction, I meant it to be a space for life events and journeys that have prompted introspection. Since my move to the U.S., I have written about my new home even as I remember the old one. I also write about other things: migration, belonging, community, assimilation and culture.

I still write about my travels, near and far, past and present, but not like a travel brochure. It is more to provide context to the trips, and unpack the insights I brought home with me. 

I write about books and reading, and the media as well, whether traditional/legacy or social. 

Finally, this blog is a platform for my photographs and videos, of which I have amassed quite a collection. I hope you enjoy them!
